Worked on a small team responsible for delivering a web-based application which served over 700,000 registered users. Responsibilities included development, programming and maintenance of the website application and database using ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, scripting (JavaScript, AJAX, etc.), backend Windows Services, APIs and CSS along with integrating with third-party APIs. Implemented many internal tools to facilitate teamwork and customer service such as a support trouble-ticket system, SharePoint and a CMS Knowledge Base for our team as it grew in size. Most recently worked on a new product using an Entity Framework Core backend API and React front-end. The backend API work facilitated integrations with third-party accounting partners.

Neurotic Poets www.neuroticpoets.com - Original content website. I am the sole site author and maintainer (design, content, code and graphics). This site is written in .NET Core 3.1 with C# and has been upgraded multiple times over the years from static HTML with Perl CGI, to ASP.NET WebForms, to ASP.NET MVC and now .NET Core.

www.bdragon.com - Personal site, also contains links to many other personal web projects (such as: Eclipse 99, Genealogy, and “Moxie For Mine"). The main part of the site is a WordPress blog, other sections use static HTML, PHP or Perl and other various web technologies.

Achievements

<Current Employer>: Serving simultaneously on two internal teams bringing cross-functional expertise in front-end web UI and back-end services interaction. These applications are used to help set up and onboard thousands of merchants for payment processing each year.

<Current Employer>: Lead Developer on a project to auto-integrate merchants with a third-party ACH provider which saved time by reducing the need for Account Boarding specialists to manually set up and update information.

<Current Employer>: Took the initiative to help lead our team to transition from TFS version control to using Git. Also was essential in modularizing our code into NuGet packages and encouraging the use of NuGet and Git on our team and also within the department. Created documentation, assisted team members and served as a resource for co-workers new to these technologies.

FRONTSTEPS (AssociationVoice, CII): Spearheaded effort to implement internal tools and website administrative tools to speed customer support and response and streamline processing of over 5,000 customer support tickets per month.

FRONTSTEPS (AssociationVoice, CII): Main developer on major web-based email messaging system upgrade. Front-end and backend work including a backend service to automatically collect and process email "bounce" data for use on the web front end.

FRONTSTEPS (AssociationVoice, CII): Central role in upgrading aging classic ASP site to ASP.NET MVC in C#.

Aspen Systems: Single-handedly redesigned company website from hundreds of pages of static HTML into a dynamic data-driven XHTML compliant C# ASP.NET site with database backend. This improved functionality and ensured better customer service and a better experience for website visitors seeking information about the company, in addition to increasing web sales leads.

RMI.NET (IC&C): Sole programmer and joint project manager for company's main corporate website redesign which generated a substantial amount of new sales leads and reduced call volume to support staff while serving the company's user base of 110,000.

RMI.NET (IC&C): Worked as the main developer for the Web Solutions department's internal site, including redesign of the site and development of a nationwide system for tracking and reporting project hours.

Volunteer work on Platte River Academy school Technology Committee, assisting online communication team, school technology policies & help with websites, 2011 - 2023.
